Embrace Your Beauty

Do you celebrate your individuality and natural self? Are you at peace with your body and physical appearance, regardless of its current state? These might seem like unusual questions for me to be asking, but there's a reason I want you to think about this. We were all created uniquely and beautifully in our own way, each with different features that make us who we are. We all know it may not always be easy to feel beautiful, but today, let's explore how to embrace our unique beauty and feel as memorable as you are.

Skin Care

When you indulge in the joy of caring for your skin, your natural beauty truly shines through. Your skin, the largest organ in your body, deserves this attention. Instead of relying solely on makeup to hide imperfections, learning how to care for and enhance your skin can reveal your true, radiant exquisiteness. If you're new to this concept, you might have questions about which products to use, how to use them, and when to use them.

You can learn more by consulting with one of our skincare specialists, who will evaluate your skin and guide you in proper cleansing techniques and only select gentle products for your specific skin type. Like any work of art, starting with a clean canvas is definitely recommended. (We adore our facials and know you will, too!) Just as a side note, it's important when making significant changes to your skincare routine to seek professional advice. Skin sensitivity, allergic reactions or even damage can occur when using a product incorrectly.

Alright, I’m ready to hear the groans, but there's this: Consider letting go of tanning, smoking, or other habits that may compromise your skin's natural beauty. Ultimately, embracing and caring for your skin begins with self-love and maintaining good habits can support your success.  In fact, you will likely observe that using fewer products leads to smoother and healthier skin!

Look In The Mirror More

When we gaze at ourselves in the mirror, some individuals are delighted by their reflection, while others are dissatisfied. If you find yourself in the latter crowd, altering your negative mindset can profoundly transform your life and enable you to accept your unique beauty. For instance, instead of concentrating solely on your physical attributes, consider appreciating the emotions that shine through in your eyes and smile.  This change in perspective, from 'I don't like my nose' to 'I love the way my eyes light up when I smile’, has the potential to gradually foster self-love and empathy. In turn, you’re empowering yourself to embrace all the magnificent qualities that define you.

Enhance Your Best

Everyone has features we feel are better than others. You may have beautifully shaped eyes or a smile that would melt an iceberg! But you may not like your eyebrows or feel your lips could use more color. That's part of being human. And while we still need to embrace our own natural beauty, a little touch of makeup can go a long way!

Shaping those eyebrows will enhance that gorgeous set of eyes. Or giving your lips a hint of semi-permanent color can brighten that fabulous smile! You're still embracing your beauty, but adding an enhancement that lifts your confidence. (Besides, a tooth brush wasn’t handed to us by nature, but we all feel better using it! And those around us, too!)

Caring For Our Body

Another point is to appreciate our body. (Look how hard it works and everything it does to keep us alive!) A major part of appreciating our physical self is to fill it with nutritious food, exercising, practicing self-care, and using positive affirmations. You'll find it can help you feel more self-assured and beautiful in your skin.

Closing Thoughts

As we grew up, comments from loved ones, friends and the media might have influenced our perception of what beauty was. Even in your lifetime, we as a society have grown and become much wiser, learning that everyone doesn't have to look perfect. So let's remind ourselves to embrace our unique features and be thankful for what nature has given us. Remember, feeling confident and beautiful in your own skin is truly self-acceptance and self-love at its greatest.

If you only carry one thought away today, please let it be one of these. You are inherently beautiful and worthy. You are unique, you are smart, and you are enough. Be confident and embrace who you are. And most importantly, be proud of YOU!

Be Well,

Isabella
